Amanda is a Rockford resident but feels most "at home" in nature. You'll often find her on the patio of a local coffee shop. Inspired by the mandate of Creation Care, she not only desires restoration of the natural world, but also for human and labor rights. With a Master of Science in Sustainable Fashion, her specialty is in the intersection of E-S-G topics, with focus on the labor and environmental impact of mass-produced clothing.

Christine holds a Masters in Energy Engineering and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, both from the University of Michigan. Christine has always had a passion for the environment.  During college, she held internships at the US EPA and the Natural Resources Defense Council during which she evaluated production emissions and pollution prevention for multiple industries.  She has also worked as a Process Engineer designing a nuclear waste treatment plant in Washington state, with the project goal of preventing contamination of the Columbia River.  Christine previously represented her employer on the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum. Christine is most concerned about curbing climate change, and is excited to work within her community to find opportunities to do this.

Kathryn received a B.A. in Liberal Arts with a major in Psychology from Immaculata College, Immaculata, PA. She has worked as an accountant at Sears, Oryana Food Cooperative, retail and service provider small businesses, a CPA firm, as controller for non-profit QIO federal and state contractor, and a financial analyst / accountant / contracts manager for Beaumont Health Systems Research Institute, retiring in 2014 to West Michigan.

Kerrie serves as the Vice-Chair, a position she has held since its founding. She is passionate about environmental advocacy and works to inspire sustainability initiatives throughout the Rockford community, including Rockford Public Schools. In addition to her committee work, she is a real estate agent at Five Star and co-owner of LeBlanc Custom Homes, a business focused on green building practices and healthy home environments. Kerrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with concentrations in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Phoenix. She is committed to integrating sustainable principles into both her professional and community-driven projects, helping to foster a greener future for Rockford.

Chair of Rockford Environmental Stewardship Team Subcommittee

A cheddarhead by birth, raised in the Wisconsin Northwoods, earned a number of degrees - DDS, PhD in Genetics, and a Certificate in Orthodontics.  Worked 20 years in higher education providing team based care for children born with facial birth anomalies while directing an NIH funded research lab to find genes for cleft lip and cleft palate, and also teaching/mentoring a broad range of students. He had the good fortune of having neighbors with an urban prairie for a yard, thus opening his eyes more fully to what ecosystems existed historically and how they function to support life on earth.  He's currently in a semi-retirement career shift working part-time on the Kent Conservation District's Invasive Strike Team and also writing grants for Kent Conservation District and non-profits. He's passionate about all things outdoors and protecting our one blue, miraculous marble of life. Nature is his wine. Community is connection.
