About the Presenter:

Marshall Clabeaux is the Director of MI Solar Communities, where renewable energy intent meets the reality of energy policy in Michigan. He is familiar with what it takes to make real change at the local level where renewable energy happens and climate change risk mitigation occurs.

From Project Management, Business Entrepreneurship and Consulting, Non-profit Administration, Political Campaign Strategy, Sports Officiating, Day Camp Counseling, AmeriCorps VISTA service, Canvass Field Directing & Managing or Substitute Teaching throughout Lansing Public Schools, I’ve developed a wide range of skills and perspectives across diverse workplace environments.

Experiences through Clinton Global Initiative and Sunrise Movement have enhanced my interest and expertise in advanced energy. I participated at CGI-University through my project ‘No Clean Coal’ and furthered aspirations through participation at CGI-America. Launching the grassroots campaign behind a Green New Deal, has been our primary focus as the Sunrise Movement.

Diverse work, school, and social portfolios have brought into focus the ecological imperative for building cooperative ~ democratic - community based relations and activities.
